Circuit Breaker/ Partial Lockdown in Singapore

Yesterday, Tuesday, 7 April was the first day of circuit breaker in Singapore when non-essential businesses and services stop operation. Many malls are empty and quiet even in downtown area like Raffles city shopping mall near Cityhall MRT.

I had to go on-site for work yesterday as I'm working  in essential services in Singapore. Essential businesses like food related, banking, health care and supermarkets will still be available.Today is the start of school closure as students start home-based learning at home.

Non-essential services like bookshops, tourist attractions, toy stores, libraries, boutiques, sport facilities, cinemas are now closed till 4 May. I'm quite upset as its the first time Gardens by the Bay will close and there is no Tulip theme at Garden by the Bay. However it is essential to have partial lockdown as the number of infected coronavirus cases has been increasing in Singapore.

Really hope there is a cure for this virus soon.
The usually buzzing Raffles city shopping mall is now empty and quiet yesterday at about 8pm. Normally even on weekday evening, it was filled with tourists and locals.

I decided to buy some instant coffee at Tampines 1 Cold Storage to prepare for work at home and was suprised to to see not many people at the supermarket.
 Almost empty MRT at Cityhall.
