Christmas Lighting at Orchard Road

Orchard Road is the place to view dazzling Christmas lightings as shopping malls along Orchard Road will be decorated with Christmas decoration as there is competition for best Christmas decor. Also long stretch of road will be light up too. This year the theme is Endless Wonder. The Christmas lighting will end on 1 Jan 2018. Only few days left.

Don Don Donki Singapore at Orchard Central!

Good news for fans of Japanese products! Now Don Don Donki, a Japan discount 24-hour store is located at Orchard Central! After watching Pitch Perfect 3 at Shaw Lido, my cousins and I went to explore Don Don Donki, a new store at Orchard Road! 

It's a really big 2-storey store that sells almost everything from groceries, shoes, pillows, watches (like Baby-G, Citizen) and toys from Japan. However, my relative alerted me that the shoes are made in China. Well, the authentic Japanese products are the very expensive fruits, rice, watches and others. It's like a Mustafa store but the products are mostly imported from Japan. Let's explore the store!

 Japanese watches here are cheaper compared to other stores in Singapore

 Watches like Seiko are expensive. I saw one watch that cost $9000 plus but didn't take note of the brand.

 Besides mochi, you can also buy sushi.

If you love Japanese rice, you can choose from a range of variety from Japan here. I think it should be cheaper than Liang Court since this is a discount store.

 It was about 12.30am midnight, yet there were still so many people queuing for baked sweet potato so late at night.

 It's still cheaper to buy pens from Popular book fair than here.

Awesome Pitch Perfect 3!

Yesterday night, I watched Pitch Perfect 3, a musical comedy movie at Shaw Lido, my favourite movie theatre in Singapore. Well the seats at Shaw Lido are very comfortable. 

I really enjoyed watching Pitch Perfect 3. I think it's absolutely the best movie of the year! Maybe because I love both musical and comedy. This movie is the perfect fusion of great musical and comedy. The actresses sang really well and the music arrangement is absolutely awesome. Fat Amy is absolutely hilarious. I think I laughed throughout the show. I'm going to watch this awesome movie again! I'm going to buy Pitch Perfect 3 album too!

Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay 2017

Recently my cousins and I went to Gardens by the bay to view beautiful Italian luminarie light sculpture. Although I'm not a Christian, I like the festive mood and beautiful Christmas lighting. Going to Orchard Road to view Christmas lighting is a must for me as I like beautiful design. Now there is another option at Gardens by the Bay. I hope they continue to feature these beautiful Italian light sculpture in the future. 

Christmas at Tampines Mall

Wow, this is my first post after months of hiatus. This year I took a long break and thought I be happy retiring early. But I was wrong. Time passes by very fast when there is nothing to do. Of course I read many books and travelled. But I started to ponder how to make my life more meaningful and how I can help. My talent is in teaching. Thus I'm back to teaching and I enjoy learning. Now I intend to work as long as possible because doing nothing is really boring.  Also I can also make new friends and spend my time here fruitfully helping people.

Anyway I saw this beautiful Christmas decorations at Tampines mall. Merry Christmas in advance!
