Teochew Traditional Fish Steamboat at Tian Tian Lai Famous Teochew Fish Head Steamboat

Last Sunday, my elder brother treated us to Teochew food, fish head steamboat at Tian Tian Lai Famous Teochew Fish Head Steamboat, an eatery with more than 30 years history in Singapore on Father's Day.

When I was young, my father used to bring us around Singapore to have delicious fish head steamboat at hawker centre or inside some industrial building. Wow, I really enjoyed the tasty food and the fish soup.

I enjoyed the egg tofu and shrimp spicy dish and the vegetables. They are also famous for their fried crispy shrimp chicken.

Cooking Laksa for my Father

As shared previously, I don't really cook except for instant noodle for myself. Recently I cooked laksa for my father.Hmm, ok I didn't really prepare everything. Hehe, I just cooked the rice noodle and heat up the laksa sauce prepared by my mum and placed the cooked prawns and egg. A bowl of delicious laksa is ready!

Domani Italian Restaurant in Singapore

Conveniently located at Ngee Ann City shopping centre basement 2, near the linkway to Wisma Atria shopping centre, there is an Italian restaurant that also serves spanish tapas. Price is quite affordable. For  lunch set that I had recently, pasta fettuccine creamy sauce set as shown below, soup of the day and ice tea, it cost only $18.00.

I am impressed with the salad which has this sweet cranberry sauce with some greenery and strawberry bits. There is mashed egg at the top of the fried calamari, too salty bacon and generous garlic bread.
Creamy Fettuccine platter
This tomatoe soup taste quite good.

Best Chinese Dessert: Honeymoon Dessert

Personally I think the shop that provides the best Chinese dessert is Honeymoon Dessert Group established by a Hong Kong company. There are many branches in Asia be it China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore.

In Singapore, there are many branches in the city area like Orchard road and Cityhall area. I had the dessert at Citylink mall which is located outside Cityhall MRT station.
I love this cold durian with green tea ice-cream served in vanilla sauce and watermelon ball. You must try this. Have this to cool down in hot Singapore. It cost about $8.00.
This is double-boiled milk served with generous dose of almond and walnuts! This is cold dessert.
Baked Mashed Taro Sago pudding.($4.80) This is one of the popular hot desserts they served. It is piping hot so don't be in a hurry to eat it. It is creamy rich with generous taro (yam pudding) and sago. Definitely one of the must try!

Yong Tau Foo

This is one of my favourite food in Singapore. You can find Yong Tau Foo in most of the food courts and hawker centres in Singapore.

You can choose the soup base, like clear soup or laksa (spicy curry shown below) or the dry version with sweet sauce. Most stalls require you to choose a minimum of five or six dishes  from egg tofu, boiled egg, mushroom, tomatoe, meat balls and vegetables.

I had this delicious laksa yong tau foo with rice noodle with 6 side dishes and it cost $5.00. Well, if you were to eat at hawker centre or university canteen, it cost lesser, maybe at about $3.50. Yes, location determine the price.
