TulipMania Inspired at Gardens by the Bay!

This year due to circuit breaker or partial lockdown in Singapore, there is no TulipMania show at Gardens by the Bay. Never mind, you can look at my past blog posts on Tulips related posts. This post was first published on 2017, 6 April.

Tulips was a popular commodity that prospered Dutch traders early in the 16th century. Ironically it was so popular that price was unbelievably high thus causing price crash.

Fortunately today tulips are generally affordable to many. In Netherlands, rows and rows of brightly hued tulips sit across the field during the Spring season from March to early May. Maybe one day I'll fly to Netherlands to see tulips field. They are so beautiful and colourful.

This Monday, I went to Gardens by the Bay with my ex-colleague who is like a big sister to me. Even though it was Monday, there were many people especially tourists at TulipMania.  We decided to see the tulips early as TulipMania started on 1 April, last Saturday, so these flowers are still very fresh.

I adore this year TulipMania as it features Netherland most famous artist, Vincent van Gogh. His paintings are so unique and heartwarming. Also there are many different types of tulips on display and they are all so beautiful! Also this year landscape designs are very creative. They actually created huge paintings of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings with tulips of different colour! Thanks for the great show, Gardens by the Bay!
