Since the circuit-breaker or partial lockdown in Singapore, I have not been to the karaoke/ktv to sing with my friends and cousins.
I decided to buy a microphone to sing at home instead of waiting for the karaoke to open.
I saw some affordable microphone at Tampines1 mall at level 2. After trying various mikes on display, I decided to buy one mike which costs about $39.00. I'm quite happy with the purchase after trying it at home today. Maybe I can try to sing and post online when I'm free.

I miss singing at karaoke where I can also hear my voice via the mike. My buddy has been asking me to sing at the online karaoke app but I don't really like to use it as I can't hear my voice and could only hear it if I record. Maybe I should buy the real mike that can project my voice.
I do hope the karaoke will be opened soon to the public. I enjoy singing alone at the karaoke singing to my heart content if my buddy or cousins are not free. Sometimes I think I am narcissistic as I enjoy listening to my voice.

During my free time, I enjoy singing. Sometimes I sing with my friend or cousins. If I want to sing to my heart content, I will sing alone. If I sing alone, I will go to Manekineko at Tampines 1 shopping mall. During off-peak hours, I only pay $10.00 for 2 hours singing session which also includes unlimited free drinks like coffee, green tea latte, soft drinks and snacks. If I sing with my friend or cousins, then we will sing at TeoHeng as they charge based on room size. If you want to sing alone, Manekineko is more worth it.
Thanks to my buddy, recently I was introduced to this wonderful singing app. This is like a karaoke and you can choose to sing solo or with others online singers using the app. If you are an awesome singer like my friend who has more than 500 fans from Taiwan, HongKong, Malaysia and Singapore, you can also receive gifts from your fans!
Although I love singing, I'm not a really a great singer like my friend who has beautiful soprano voice. For me, I can't reach those high notes like her. In secondary school, when I was in the school choir, I sang alto and mostly sang background. But its ok as I love singing and I love listening to choir. Now whenever I'm free, I will go to Kbox to sing as I enjoy singing and listening to my singing voice. Hmm, I have to admit, sometimes I'm a bit narcissistic.

If you are a confident singer, you can record and share your song. If not, you can just sing live in one of the empty room. In this app, there are many online karaoke room with different themes. You can choose to join any of the karaoke room to sing with other online users or if you are like me, not a very confident singer, you can just go look for an empty room and sing to yourself. I just started using this singing app yesterday and need to explore more.
