A Journey to Zero Waste at National Design Centre Singapore

Last month, I went to National Design Centre near Bugis MRT station. There was the Journey to Zero Waste exhibition. Designers recycled plastic waste to create new products like chairs and other storage items. I find it sad that people are still producing and using these toxic plastics. Instead of reproaching consumers from using, there should be a stop to producing it.

I always find it weird when food sellers serve food at the eatery or hawker centre with styroform which contains styrene, a possible toxic human carcinogen which can leech into your food. It is also bad for the environment with all these toxic waste. Why can't they just serve in plates that they can wash and reuse. If they don't want to wash, maybe they can invest in dishwasher machine.

Thus now I will not patronise stalls that serve people with styroform.
