Big Bang Data Exhibition at ArtScience Museum

This Friday, my buddy and I went to ArtScience Museum after a sumptuous lunch buffet at Equinox restaurant. At ArtScience Museum, we went for two exhibitions namely the Future World Where Art Meets Science and Big Bang Data. On 24 September this year, there be a exhibition of Journey to Infinity Escher's World of Wonder and I can't wait to see it! I really like Escher art works with its optical illusion drawing.

Well back to this Big Bang Data exhibition. Initially I was skeptical. Data sounds boring. Anyway, as I explored the exhibition, I saw the effort put in by the staff to make the visit educational and interactive. Actually whether we like it or not, there is no privacy in using internet. But that can be a good thing as the authority can monitor if anyone is planning to conduct any ill-intention acts.

The Big Bang Data exhibition is on display till 16 October.
Where: ArtScience Museum
Nearest MRT: Bayfront MRT
Last admission: 6pm.
I like this artistic display of visitors input!
In 2014, our government announced its grand plan to be a smart nation.
A view of data centre in Singapore island. I live in the east side of Singapore. The advantage of living in the east side of Singapore is you reach home faster as its only 15 minutes drive from Changi Airport and there are lots of delicious food in the east!
Data is transmitted via the bottom of ocean floor that connect us to the rest of the world.
The first data storage in the form of punch card.
This is the section that shows the evolution of data storage.
When I was in secondary school, I used floppy diskette to keep 1.44MB data.

 What do you see?
Sometimes I just want to lie on the ground and see the stars! But at the exhibition, they provide beanbags for us to sit and look at these artificial stars.
We are all interconnected.
With the rise of social media, there is explosion of data with people posting everyday.
Data is really important to economics.

Youtube videos of people around the world. Are you inside there?
Mountain of data (pictures). Maybe you find a gem among the trash.
 Arts and data.

 Points to ponder.
Collection weather data from this weather kit.
Love this beautiful display of visitors' thoughts on data.
 Visitors expressed their thoughts.
I like the education resource package on Big Bang data and The Art and Science of Gems.
You can buy Singapore souvenirs after the exhibition.
