The Best Chicken Rice in Singapore? Five Star Hainanese Chicken Rice Restaurant

When you are in Singapore, one dish that you must try is Hainanese chicken rice which is available in our coffee shops, hawker centres and even famous chicken rice restaurants. In the hawker centre or coffee shop, a plate of chicken rice with meat typically costs about $3.00 per plate. The fragrant rice is normally cooked with chicken stock thus the rice itself is delicious and tasty if it is cooked well.

Normally good chicken rice stall will set up restaurant once they are famous and popular. Boon Tong Kee and Five Star Hainanese Chicken rice are two examples of successful chicken rice stall.

I like the Five Star Hainanese Chicken Rice restaurant located in the Katong area. The delicious chicken rice is quite cheap and you can order other side dishes at an affordable price compared to another famous chicken rice restaurant.

    1. Me too. I prefer 5 star as it is more delicious and cheaper than Boon Tong Kee. I spent $29.00 a few years back for a few prawns. From then on, I stop going there.
