Mid-Autumn Festival 2020 at Gardens by the Bay

This year as usual, you can go to Gardens by the Bay and Chinatown to view Mid-Autumn Festival light-up. However this year, there are not many lanterns compared to last year due to COVID19.

I like the Apricot Grove which displays beautiful blooming apricot flowers at the Golden Garden. There is also lantern set inspired by famous Song Dynasty Chinese poet and artist Su Dong-po and his Water song.

I also like the Joy of Illumination by 600 participants from various homes in Singapore. It look dazzling beautiful. If I have a balcony in my future home, I will illuminate with similar mosaic lookalike lanterns.

For the first time, you can also see lantern set, The Royal Family from South Korea.

From Gardens by the Bay: The Apricot Grove, which features apricot flowers at various stages of blooming, enhanced with gobo lighting effect to simulate falling flower petals, is inspired by the Chinese fable of Dong Feng “董奉”, who is a skilled and generous medical practitioner from the Three Kingdoms period ”三国时代”.
This Friday was the Light-up ceremony.
Water Song poem by Chinese Poet Su Dong-po.
You can listen to this song 但愿人长久 inspired by the Water Song poem by Su Dong Po.

Illumination of Joy. Really attractive mosaic lookalike lanterns. One of my favourite light-up.
