Cherry and Peach Blossom at Singapore Gardens by the Bay March 2020

This year Cherry and Peach blossom at Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay is simply amazing! You can see beautiful cherry and peach blossom up close and they are in pretty pink! I went there twice this month; last Friday with my younger brother and this Wednesday with my friend. This January, I brought the Gardens by the Bay annual pass at $34.00 after 50% discount. Thus I can enjoy 1-year unlimited admission to Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, OCBC skyway, retail and dining discounts.

I enjoy admiring beautiful flowers. Somehow being surrounded by plants and flowers is so uplifting! They are a manifestation of the right causes and conditions under the care of dedicated staff here and in cool temperature of 23 °C  to 25 °C  in the flower dome.

This year due to the coronavirus, the flower dome is not as crowded as before. In the past, I had to jostle with tourists from around the world. From 20th March this year, Garden by the Bay will reduce the number of visitors entering indoor attractions to ensure sufficient safe distancing between visitors. Visitors visiting indoor attractions like the Flower Dome, Cloud forest and Floral Fantasy are also to submit declaration form.

Now Singapore residents can enjoy 50% discount on tickets purchased for One Conservatory, Two Conservatories, Floral Fantasy, Supertree Observatory and Attraction Bundle* for visit from now till 29 March 2020.
Flower Dome Cherry Blossom :Did you Know

Most cherry tree varieties bloom in spring, and only last for about 1 to 2 weeks.

Cherry and peach blossom trees are typically short-lived. The former has a lifespan of 30 to 40 years, while the latter's is shorter, between 10 and 20 years. Black cherry trees, commonly found in North and South America can live up to 250 years old.

While some farmhouses have been in existence for more than 250 years, the thatched roof needs to be changed periodically every 40 years. The steeply-sloped thatch roofs farmhouses are constructed at. a 60- degree angle to allow the snow to slide off easily during winter. This prevents the house from being crushed under its weight.
