Forfeit Downpayment?

I'm quite frustrated recently when my relatives and friends asked about the new flat I purchased recently. 

I'm now considering if I should forfeit the 10% downpayment I paid recently and reapply for a flat in Tampines and East coast park. I've been staying in Tampines  since birth. After making payment for a flat, then they announced that Singles can now purchased new flat in any part of Singapore.

Maybe I should just reapply and forfeit the payment. I prefer to stay at my current home.
