Coffee Almond Bread at Bread Society

When I tried the coffee almond buns at Bread Society yesterday, today I yearn for more so I went to buy two more coffee almond buns to indulge. Wow, I really love the generous crispy almond flakes with sweet white chocolate on top of the soft bun and coffee cream inside. Luckily Bread Society is located at Suntec City, which is far from my home. Else I buy and eat everyday.

Bread Society at Suntec City is nearest to Esplanade MRT and 5 mins to 10 minutes walk from City Hall MRT.

Best Dessert Toast: Matcha Honey Toast at Dazzling Cafe Deluxe

Finally, I got to try the Matcha with Azuki Beans Honey Toast at Dazzling Cafe Deluxe at Capitol Piazza (Galleria) after reading many reviews. The cafe has done intensive promotion in Singapore via local popular magazines and newspapers. This cafe is started by a Taiwanese socialite and her partner and they brought this popular cafe from Taiwan to Singapore.

My cousin and I chose the crispy toast which is great though it was tough to cut the hard toast. We love the crispy, crunchy thick and hard toast filled with many cubes of soft bread underneath the rich matcha ice-cream topped by soft rich cream. The portion is great for sharing for two. We guess the ice-cream must be of good quality as it doesn't melt immediately.

The total cost for two different teas and the toast inclusive of service charge and 7% GST cost $38.70. Quite pricey but I guess its ok to indulge this delicious dessert once every few months.

Flower Dome: Fun Times with Nursery Rhymes

I decided to treat my cousins to a visit at Flower Dome as the theme is Fun Times with Nursery Rhymes and June holiday just started last week. For Passion card member, there is 10% discount.

We were excited to see the flower display as we get to see new species and learn more about it. Also looking at plants and beautiful flowers is really therapeutic and relaxing. I intend to bring my parents to see the flowers since there is free entry for senior citizens above 60 years old.

Breakfast at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

There are many Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf stores in Singapore and they serve good coffee and wide variety of breakfast all day. My favourite branch is at Kallang Leisure Park highly recommended by my friend who is also my colleague. Indeed, they are generous with the smoked salmon for caesar salad. I also love their egg and tandoori chicken wrap as the wrap is crispy hot with delicious fillings.

I also went to the Suntec city branch but the salmon is really pittance small and the egg is not runny in Salmon brioche egg ben. Maybe next time, I'll try the Tampines branch.
Salmon Brioche Eggs Ben at Suntec City
I prefer the runny egg.
At Suntec City branch, the salmon is pittance compared to Kallang Leisure Park.
Brek 'O Day at Kallang Leisure Park. Not recommended as the scramble egg was bland.
At Kallang Leisure park branch, they are generous with smoked salmon to the caesar salad thus this is my favourite place to eat salmon caesar salad.
Tandoori chicken wrap is very delicious and they served the wrap hot.

Building MySg Lego

Indeed this year is special for Singapore. For the first time in 50 years, all students and teachers in Singapore will get a special commemorative Singapore50 Lego set of three iconic Singapore landmarks specially customized and designed by Lego. These three landmarks include the iconic Changi Airport, Cavenagh Bridge and the Gardens by the Bay. The public can only purchase these SG50 Lego set after National Day (9 August).
Apparently for this set, you can only build one landmark at any one time.

Which one will you build?

The Little Prince Sculptures at The Fullerton Hotel

I was enjoying a solo night stroll from Tajong Pagar MRT station to Cityhall MRT station after attending the MAAD (Market of Artists and Designers) at the Red Dot Design Museum. On the way to Cityhall MRT station, I passed by the Fullerton Hotel to use their clean and posh toilet and was delighted to see The Little Prince sculpture near the entrance.

Written by French aviator and writer,Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900–1944),The Little Prince first published in 1943, is an inspiring story of how the Little Prince discovers the true meaning of life and his encounter with the stranded pilot. The Little Prince shared with the stranded pilot his encounters with different people like The King, The Businessman, The Conceited Man inhabited in different planets.

My favourite quote from The Little Prince,
"And now here is my secret a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye".
