National Gallery of Singapore

My cousins and I finally visited the National Gallery of Singapore, which is a short 10-minute walking distance from City Hall MRT. Arts by local artists and others regional artists are also on display inside the National Gallery, which used to be the Supreme Court in Singapore.

I planned to see Wu GuanZhong's gallery but it was not ready yet. So we explored other art galleries. Of all the paintings I saw, I like Georgette Chen and Liu Kang paintings mainly because of the pastel and bright colour combination.

Admission fees is $20 but it is free entry for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.

Going to Melbourne Again!

This June I went to Australia Sydney and Melbourne with my youngest brother with a tour agency. We went to Great Ocean Road, Victoria market and Philips island to see cute penguins. We did not spend much time touring the city. Thus this November, I decided to venture to Melbourne again to explore art museum, library, cafe and park.

This time I be traveling solo in late November to early December. Fortunately there is longer day time as the sunset is around 8.20pm so I don't feel so scare. Actually there is another reason why I'm going to Melbourne. I plan to study in Melbourne next year for half a year. So its also a good time for me to check if the place is safe and friendly to foreigners or not. Initially I didn't really want to go. But alas, I didn't realise the hotel booking fees is charged to my credit card. I thought they only charge when I arrive. Since I already made payment, I might as well go there and enjoy myself. This time I be staying in a hotel at Elizabeth street as its cheaper than Southbank. I hope to find great cafe serving delicious breakfast and coffee.

As shared previously, I don't really cook except for instant noodle for myself. Recently I cooked laksa for my father.Hmm, ok I didn't really prepare everything. Hehe, I just cooked the rice noodle and heat up the laksa sauce prepared by my mum and placed the cooked prawns and egg. A bowl of delicious laksa is ready!

Happy Monday! Jersey Boy Musical for You!

Happy Monday everyone! Today I feel like listening to Jersey Boys, my all time favourite musical. I'm glad I went to New York Broadway to watch Jersey Boys musical by awesome actors like Jarrod Spector. Boy Jarrod can sing really well! I have utmost respect to him. He hit all the right notes and I was glad I flew all the way from Singapore to watch his amazing performance. If Jarrod Spector is performing in Broadway again, who knows, I might buy a ticket and fly to New York to watch his performance again.

Double Rainbow in Singapore

Yesterday it rained in Singapore. Many Singaporeans saw this double rainbow. At Tampines, we didn't get to see but I captured the sky as it was beautiful blend of orange and yellow.

New York

I was thinking of going back to New York to watch musicals again. 5 years ago, I went to New York alone just to watch Broadway musicals like Jersey Boys and Wicked as I was impressed with the Jersey Boys' lead singer performance. I spent 12 days in New York watching Broadway musical, visited various arts museums and just walk in the park. When you are alone, you find out who you really are and what you truly like as you have the time and power to decide what you want to do with your precious time.

After reading recent news on different places being targeted, maybe I go back to New York in few years time. I love New York.

Singapore F1@ Marina Bay Street Circuit

Yesterday at Gardens by the Bay, we could hear loud screeching sound from F1 racing cars. Yesterday was the practise session for F1 drivers at the Marina Bay street circuit track.

Today is the qualifying session for tomorrow race. At Cityhall MRT and Raffles City shopping mall today, I saw many policemen on patrol and there are many caucasian tourists wearing F1 pass. For me, I don't understand why anyone want to spend hours watching the cars racing around the track on and on. I find it boring so even when my previous boss had F1 tickets for us, I didn't accept as I think its a waste of time. Nevertheless, it's good for Singapore tourism industry. Currently more than 300 people are infected with Zika virus in Singapore. I hope none of the tourists are affected by Zika virus.

Singapore Science Centre. Life is a Miracle!

Recently I went to Science Centre because of work. There are some new exhibits. But I was more curious on human body. So I went to the human body to see how babies are formed from inception. Its really amazing how a baby is made from just a sperm and egg right? That's why some say we are already a miracle!
In the Science Centre main hall.
Green hulk on display for the first time.
 Students can explore human body.
I was happy to see baby chick. Maybe few hours old.
Baby chick is adorable.Ok I try to eat lesser chicken wings. Now I eat more vegetable and fruits ok?
Out of a billion sperms, only 1 is successful. That's why they always say we are  already a miracle!
All rushing to enter the egg.
This one is successful! Yeah!
Few months old baby.
This baby is ready for the world! Yeah!

Complimentary Dating Chat

I finally went for a dating profiling chat with a matchmaking agency since it was complimentary. Initially I cancelled it but since they were so persistent, calling me a few times, I decided to just attend the profiling session. Also my friend encouraged me to just attend and reminded me I'm not really young already. Hey buddy, I did attend the complimentary dating chat and did not back out. At least I tried.

At the end of the chat, with me telling her my expectations of my future spouse, I just asked what's next. Then she showed me various services like how they'll matchmake me with guys who fit my expectations. To my shock, it can cost $600 and above for 3 dates over a period of few months. Well, if I'm really desperate, I will just sign up for various dating apps where I can see whether the guys are handsome or not or fit my expectation. Why would I want to pay $600 for a agency to match make me? Wait, on second thought, maybe I should just sign up for dating app?

Ode To Art at Raffles City

Last Friday, after lunch, my buddy and I went window-shopping at Raffles City shopping mall.We were happy to see beautiful arts at Ode To Art. Outside the gallery, we can take the free postcards of selected painting at Ode To Art. I happily collected several free good quality postcards of my favourite arts. I'm planning to display these beautiful postcards in my bedroom when I studied overseas next year. Really happy to get free postcards. Hey perhaps I can give these free beautiful postcards to my friends or buddies and I can save money from buying it.
These sculptures are so cute. If I buy a new home, I might just buy one to display in my bedroom with my wood furniture. Don't know why, I just love wood furniture.

I also like these bright cheerful painting. I reckon it cost few thousand dollars. I might just practise and paint like him.

Rise in Zika Cases in Singapore

I never expect a spike in zika cases in Singapore. Till date, Singapore now has 56 people with zika virus. For now, I'll avoid Aljunied Crescent and Sims Drive are as many zika cases are diagnosed from these two places. Though they stated it's locally transmitted disease, I suspect it started when a man who returned from overseas was first infected with Zika virus. Perhaps they should never organise Olympics in Brazil. I reckon there be a spike in zika virus spread around the world soon.

Hazy Weather in Singapore

For the past few years, Singaporeans have been suffering from hazy weather as our inconsiderate neighboring country Indonesia burn their forest.

Just hope the wind direction will shift back to Indonesia and their capital Jakata. They need to pay a price for it for burning the helpless animals in the forest.

Not Feeling Well Today

Today I'm under the weather. Yesterday night I was vomiting and had diarrhoea. Made me wonder if it's the crab dumpling I had in the last 2 weekends. My teacher had said crab can give you stomachache. Think this week I won't eat crab dumplings. :(

MAYDAY五月天 [ 派對動物Party Animal ]

I really like their Mayday latest album released this July. So far I purchased 2 songs from itunes. Maybe I buy their latest album instead. In Singapore its sad to say its really rare to find a CD shop. In the past, we had Tower Records and HMV but now they are out of Singapore due to high rental cost and not many people want to buy album. For me I prefer to buy album if there are many good songs and I like the singer.
