Singapore Night Safari

Singapore Night Safari Park is the world’s first safari park for nocturnal animals. Thanks to my generous cousin and cousin-in-law, I was invited to explore the night safari with them and their adorable daughter. Indeed I must count my blessing. Last year, many of my cousins and friends, be they young or old, and aunty and uncle treated me to delicious meals or asked me out for outings. Indeed last year was a wonderful year in bonding with my relatives and friends.

Back to the Night Safari trip, we took the cute tram which took us across different zones like the Himalayan Foothills, Asian Riverine Forest, Leopard trail, Fishing Cat trail and Australia Wallaby Trail. One problem was we could not get a really good look at it was dark but then it was really cool that night. Anyway, I had a really great time at the night safari with my cousin and cousin-in-law exploring the trails.

I didn't expect long queue at Night Safari. There were many tourists.
Not sure what is this cute animal, but it is smart enough to recycle.

Australia Kangaroos. My first and only visit to Australia Sydney and Brisbane was in 1996 when I took a picture with a cute kangaroo. With exchange rate so attractive, I might go there this year. To Sydney again, 20 years later after the last visit.

Taiwanese Desserts in Singapore Jurong Point

Thanks to my relatives who took me to Jurong Point shopping mall on the first day of 2016, I got to try Taiwanese popular dessert at Blackball store which sells Jiufen taro and sweet potato ball. Yeah, now I don't have to travel all the way to Taiwan to try Taiwan dessert. Frankly speaking I prefer the version here compared to Jiufen taro ball.

I really love the blackball signature dessert ($5.40) with winter melon crushed ice, grass jelly, taro and sweet potato balls, yam q and golden sweet potato. This is highly recommended. There are many branches in Singapore, including Tampines 1. Hey buddies, let's go to Tampines 1 to try this awesome dessert!

Christmas Wonderland 2015

Sorry for not updating this blog for some time. I was busy with others stuff. Today, I'll share photos that I took last year at Gardens by the Bay, Christmas Wonderland. I do hope this year they continue with this event. I really love the beautiful luminous lighting sculpture.

Peach Blossoms Dim Sum Buffet at Marina Mandarin Hotel

Last month, I treated my parents and youngest brother to a sumptuous dim sum buffet at Marina Mandarin hotel on a weekday as it's cheaper. For weekday, it costs about $48 per person and that's not including the mandatory 10% service charge and 7% GST. In the end, I paid around $220.00 for the dim sum buffet lunch.

Even though it is dim sum buffet, we could only select one serving from the premium selection like lobster and abalone. But for the rest like dim sum and noodles, it's All You Can Eat.

You can see the dishes available on weekday from 12pm to 3pm at Weekday Dim Sum Buffet Menu.

Frankly speaking, I think the dim sum here are pretty good and I must say much better than the overrated Tim Ho Wan.
