Sing50 Concert at Stadium

I attended Sing50 concert at the Stadium today with my cousins. The star of the show is undoubtedly Stefani Sun and Lim Jun Jie who are successful pop singer who are popular in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Their concert tickets are very expensive and I'm glad I could catch these two megastars singing live. Also Lang Lang,an international famous pianist performed three songs too with 50 other pianists. Of course at Sing50 concert, it featured Singapore four official languages like Chinese, India, Malay, and English songs.  But I don't really know other performers.

I'm delighted they featured Xinyao, Singapore Chinese songs composed and written by Singaporeans.

At Kallang Wave mall, there is rock wall.

Tracy Huang received loud applause from the audience.

Singapore National Day Parade Ticket Collection

Last month, residents who won the National Day Parade tickets or preview tickets collected the tickets at Marina Square shopping mall. This year, as usual, I did not win any NDP preview or NDP tickets. Of course I feel disappointed. But there is nothing I can do since tickets are given by balloting. Nevertheless, I just stay at home and watch the live broadcast and have a feast at home and have a good rest in the long weekend.

This year funpack comprises many of my childhood favorite items like the colourful chocolate in 8 shape packaging (my favourite number) and card games like SNAP and Old Maid) I used to play with my primary classmates.

Durian Season in Singapore

Durian is one of my favourite fruits. Known as the King of Fruits, the spiky hard crust is filled with sweet and creamy soft yellow fruit. It looks unfriendly but it is so tender and sweet. I remember when I was young, my uncle brought big spiky durians filled with firm and creamy fruit from one of the neighboring countries.
Many durian sellers set up temporary stalls in the neighborhood.
Durian is creamy soft and sweet with hard seed inside.
My favourite place in Singapore, the Esplanade theatre looks like a durian too.

My Favourite Burger at Soup Union: Ultimate Chicken Caesar Burger

I think I found the perfect burger; the Ultimate Chicken Caesar burger at Soup Union. The toasted wholewheat brioche bun is filled with grilled chicken breast, lean bacon, cheese, fried battered onion, runny sunny side egg and my favourite caesar dressing and healthy romaine lettuce, mushroom and tomatoe. The set which costs $14.90 comes with a drink and a side like house salad, fries or mushroom soup.

Coffee Almond Bread at Bread Society

When I tried the coffee almond buns at Bread Society yesterday, today I yearn for more so I went to buy two more coffee almond buns to indulge. Wow, I really love the generous crispy almond flakes with sweet white chocolate on top of the soft bun and coffee cream inside. Luckily Bread Society is located at Suntec City, which is far from my home. Else I buy and eat everyday.

Bread Society at Suntec City is nearest to Esplanade MRT and 5 mins to 10 minutes walk from City Hall MRT.
