Esplanades Theaters by the Bay

I watched my first musical The Sound of Musical at the Esplanade Theatre by the Bay, few years back. Sadly most of the musicals are now performed in Marina by the Bay Sand and not at my favorite theatre at the Esplanade.

Nevertheless, whenever I am free, I love to be in the Esplanade to look at the art exhibitions or free live performance on Friday night or weekends. It is also very convenient as it is about 10 minutes walk from Cityhall MRT station.
One of my favourite places in Singapore is Esplanade Theatres by the Bay

Beautiful Cactus and Succulents in Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay

In Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay, you'll see cactus that are as beautiful as the flowers and unique. These cactus are on permanent display at the flower dome and most of them originate in Africa.

I think this is the prettiest cactus of them all.

Hiking at Mount Faber Park and Henderson Waves

Finally I get to see the Henderson Waves! I realised that I am in love of hiking recently. Being in nature among the verdant greenery made me so inexplicably happy. I love the blue blue sky with the lushly greenery in this city. It is important that we preserve nature park as nature has a way to make people calmer and in tune with themselves.

You can enjoy free panoramic views of Singapore without spending a cent and you can enjoy fresh air. So when you are free, do come down and enjoy the nature trail.

My friend and I took about three hours to walk from the entrance near HarbourFront MRT to Alkaff Mansion and back to HarbourFront MRT. In between, we explored the Faber Peak and Faber Point. It is better to explore in the morning before noon as it is not so hot. Now, let's explore the park.

How to get to Mount Faber Park
Just alight at HarbourFront MRT station

Click here for the walking guide for the HortPark & the Southern Ridge from the National Parks website.

Faber Peak is the place where you travel to Sentosa via the cable car.
Love this view from Faber Peak
Apparently, on weekdays, there are not many visitors to travel to Sentosa via cable car from Mount Faber.
Lots of photo opportunities at Faber Peak.
Really posh toilet inside Faber Peak!
Love the colourful stairs.
View of Singapore from Mount Faber Park. These yellow tall buildings are public housing.

We decided to just explore Alkaff Mansion which is famous for cafe and bar.
